The name Jellycat was dreamt up by a child who loved jellies and cats and giggled at the thought of the two together. The silliness of the name was a great reflection of the design and so it stuck!

We have designed in the UK since the beginning and continue to work with designers in London and around the country. The small range we launched with in was individual and most unusual, announcing ourselves as a soft toy creator with a difference.

Since then we have continued to work hard to combine the coolest designs with the most luxurious of fabrics in the process creating thousands of wonderfully innovative soft toys. Check out our design history and have a good giggle of where our imaginations have taken us! Our network of stockists has grown considerably since the beginning. In the following years we have been privileged to supply some of the finest retail shops, department stores and boutiques throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and even as far as Australia.

Staff at the hotel were keen to make the rabbit's stay as comfortable as possible. The pictures soon started to attract thousands of likes from fans all around the world. Fortunately, staff were able to locate Jellycat's owner - a little girl called Kate Hogan, from Nenagh, Ireland, and the pair were reunited after two days apart. Her father Kieran posted a statement on his Facebook page from Kate after the rabbit was returned, saying: 'Hello to all the lovely people in Adare Manor Hotel, my name is Kate Hogan.

Thank you for taking such good care of my special Jellycat. The rabbit went for an afternoon walk with Claire the concierge after its afternoon tea. She continued: 'He was my first ever teddy a whole three and a half years ago. I was so lonely going to sleep last night, but I now know he had the best time.

Adare Manor spokesperson Sarah Ormston said: 'We can't believe that what began as an effort to find the bunny's owner has turned into a story followed and loved by so many people around the world.
